Hello From Las Vegas! A very lucky lady won the latest Megabucks jackpot and is now over $20 million richer. I donated a few dollars myself to that pile of cash by playing a little as the number rose … but without the same luck. Oh well .. .there is always next time!

Maxim Hotel and Casino? You’ve probably heard that the men’s magazine Maxim (along with partners) are going to spend $1.2 billion to build a hotel-condo just north of Circus Circus but they don’t plan to open until 2010. July 4 Fireworks On The Strip? – The Stratosphere has announced they will again be shooting fireworks off for the Independence Day holiday. However, July 4 falls on a Tuesday this year, so they are doing it on July 2, 2006. If you can scam Monday off of work, join us all in Las Vegas for a fireworks fantastic four day weekend!

Retired Woman Wins $20.5 Million Megabucks Jackpot At The Cannery – A 64-year-old Las Vegas retiree won a Megabucks slot jackpot worth $20,519,025 today at the Cannery Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas. It was the second Megabucks winner the Cannery has had in the last nine months. I Say Soccer, You Say Futbol, Let’s Call The Whole Thing On! – World Cup Soccer (Futbol), the most prestigious sporting event in the world, begins Friday, June 9. Thirty two teams that have survived qualifying will compete for the world title in Germany. Would You Like Something In A Manilow? – The expanded Manilow retail store at the Las Vegas Hilton debuted last Saturday, with Barry himself joining the staff at 6 p.m. for a champagne toast and a meet and greet. Barry also posed for photos. The expanded store offers (in addition to the previously popular items such as Barry bobble heads and Manilow calendars and towels) the new M Line of fragrances, which includes a womanÆs perfume, unisex cologne, and candles for the home. The fresh M Line will also introduce a new section for M Line Wine, which will include Cabernet, Zinfandel and Pinot Grigio wines as well as glassware, wine chocolates and accessories. The 5-foot-9-inch tall dancer said, “My mom and aunt were both Lakers’ girls at the time when Paula Abdul was a cheerleader too. Miracle Mile Shops Unveiled As New Name For The Shops In Desert Passage – Renovation Plans Include Modernized Interior And Exterior; Additional Brand-Name Retailers. It’s a new name and a new look for The Shops in Desert Passage at the Aladdin. Boulevard Invest, the joint venture of Tri Star Capital and RFR Holding, and owners of The Shops in Desert Passage, revealed the shopping center’s re-branding as the Miracle Mile Shops in conjunction with the previously announced exterior and interior reconstruction throughout the center.
