Newkirk’s Notes – comments on Las Vegas from AccessVegas.Com publisher Ted Newkirk:
Hello From Las Vegas! Weather was in the 80’s this past week, with a storm (cooler and very windy … no rain) blowing in for the weekend. Goes to figure … doesn’t it? It has passed, and we are still looking at temps in the 80’s (F) for the rest of the month. The pools are open!
Girls Night Out – Our entertainment calendar editor Amy (who works so hard to keep all the concert listings updated) called me a while back and said “Ted … I have nine friends coming out from Michigan … all girls I grew up with. Can you set us up?” Amy does a great job, so set her up, I did. We sent them all to American Storm then on to Tryst (nightclub) at Wynn Las Vegas for a great girls night out. She reported back and you can read it in this issue.
Giveaways! We have two different giveaways currently running, and we encourage you to enter both of them:
Win The Las Vegas Book: Money Shot by Brian Rouff
Win Tickets To See Clint Holmes plus a copy of his CD “If Not Now, When”
Enjoy This Issue!
Amy’s “Girl’s Night Out”
by Amy Rayner-Cooley
Las Vegas has a new “strip” show thanks to VH1’s, “StripSearch”. American Storm features the talented boys-next-door turned dancers who won their coveted positions on the hit reality show.
It was girl’s night out and although it may have been a little chilly outside, the sexy men of American Storm had things sizzling at the Riviera. These boys get our unanimous HOT! HOT! HOT! vote.
Performing in the intimate Le Bistro Theater, it’s obvious this show is new, but considering the number of screaming women who attended the show … Click To Read The Complete Review
Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas
by Amy Rayner-Cooley
The sensuously gorgeous, Tryst nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas is one of the newest and hottest clubs on the Strip.
Arriving at nearly midnight on a Sunday evening, the party was already well under way inside the club. The dance floor was full and the 2 bars each had a crowd around them. However, it was the pure beauty and elegance of the club that stunned me.
The 12,000 sq. ft. nightclub features a central dance floor which opens to the amazingly spectacular 90 ft. waterfall cascading into the club’s private lagoon … Click To Read The Complete Review

Members Mania – We Love Our Readers!
Readers Write – Dear Sir/Madam,
This trip was my eighth and it just keeps getting better and better. As well as the rounds of all the glamorous hotels and casinos, we also took in a few shows Rick Thomas, and Mac King.
Over the years I have found Imperial Palace suits my budget the best and is also in the best location on the strip, one tip though if you are considering staying you can never get anywhere quickly inside as the elevators are always very busy. This year we were on floor 11 and some times we could be waiting for 15 to 20 minutes for one. On the casino floor the wait is sometimes just as long so always leave plenty of time if you have places to go.
My favourite places in Vegas are Voodoo Lounge at the Rio and the Peppermill Inn, great locations, great looking staff (both male and female) and very tasty cocktails.
During my stay I walked into Joan Rivers in The Stardust, queued up for Slyvester Stallone’s autograph and also saw Sly and Sugar Ray Leonard walking through Cafe Lago in Ceasars ( they were going to the final of The Contender). This is the first time I have seen anyone famous in Vegas and it was cool. I will definitely be going back next year to do some more star spotting.
Miss Lorna Ballantine
Ted Responds – Lorna … what a great letter! Rick Thomas and Mac King are both well worth seeing … and are two Vegas show that continue to be reasonably priced. Many love the Imperial Palace because it has a fantastic location for the money. Fortunately, it looks like they won’t be tearing it down very soon. We’ll go into all of that in our next streaming broadcast/podcast (which is coming very soon)!
Voodoo Lounge is amazing … a perfect view of The Strip. For those who have never been, we have a streaming video preview that they can enjoy of Voodoo Lounge at The Rio: Broadband or Dial-Up.

Has anyone seen “La Reve”? Will be in vegas in a couple of weeks and am thinking of going …
Just got back to England after 4 nights at the Bellagio. Top class as always. The place is still number one for me, light, bright smells great, looks like it only opened yesterday. Top notch house keeping in the hotel and the rooms.
