Corrected Show Review Links – Last week, I mis-linked the full show reviews for Phantom and Rita Rudner. Here are the corrected, working links to both complete show reviews:

Patio Dining and Drinks On The Las Vegas Strip – When I moved here 15 years ago, no dining or other entertainment venues existed right on the Las Vegas Strip. Back then, the philosophy was to keep the patrons inside gambling. I applauded Harrah’s Las Vegas when they broke away from that with the wildly successful Harrah’s Carnival Court (pictures) and other venues have followed suit over the years including a number of nightclubs with outdoor Strip views.

Three of the most recent are Trader Vic’s and Hawaiian Tropic Zone (both at Planet Hollywood) and Diablo’s at the Monte Carlo. We covered the grand opening of Hawaiian Tropic Zone a number of weeks ago (pictures). This past week, it was time for Trader Vic’s and Diablo’s.

Trader Vic’s patio is simply a great experience. The staff is fun and friendly, the views are awesome, and the afternoon we visited had Tommy Rocker (Las Vegas’ Jimmy Buffett) cranking out Buffett and other beach tunes. Drinks aren’t cheap, but they don’t hold back on the pour and the experience is a great way to take a breather from hoofing it casino-to-casino and enjoy some people watching.

Around sunset, we headed down the street to Diablo’s Mexican Cantina at Monte Carlo. Our take:

DO go upstairs and have a drink on the second floor patio overlooking The Strip. Great view, relaxed atmosphere.
DON’T eat there. Food was understandably expensive because you are partially paying for the view and atmosphere. However, I expected better food for the money. Their carnitas burrito doesn’t hold a candle to Chipotle (a U.S. restaurant chain famous for their awesome $6.00 burritos).Service was poor. Our food arrived and we still didn’t have place settings. We literally had to chase the server down to get utensils to eat with! Things didn’t get any better from there. Go pay $20 at any of the hotel buffets, load up on Mexican food (or anything else you are in the mood for), then go to Diablo’s for a drink if you can find room upstairs.

MGM Project CityCenter Continues To Explode Upwards – Even we who live here are amazed at how fast this thing is going up. It is literally going to dwarf everything around it.

Rio Sky Show Revamp – April 8 is the final day for the current incarnation of the Rio’s long-running sky show (pictures). The Rio is being tight-lipped about the changes. They say the show will continue, but not it its present form.

Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas Provides Scholarship Dollars To UNLV Men’s Basketball – $24,000 donated to men’s basketball over course of 2007-2008 season. The Epicurean Charitable Foundation of Las Vegas presented a $24,000 check to UNLV men’s basketball on Saturday, March 8. Over the course of the season, the Foundation has awarded a $1,000 per game scholarship contribution to the UNLV men’s basketball program in the name of the Runnin’ Rebel student-athlete who best exemplified the competitive spirit and determination in giving UNLV its best chance for victory. Over the years I have been to PF Changs and also there was a really nice one in the Flamingo which is no longer there. As it is my birthday we wanted to go to a really nice one but there are so many!!!

My Asian dining is pretty much limited to Panda Express (a fast food chain). We do have a basic list of Chinese restaurants at http://www.accessvegas.com/restaurants/cuisine-chinese.htm however this is just the basics.

Is it possible to purchase 4X6 photos of the Vegas hotels shown on your website (AccessVegas)? We are annual visitors to Vegas and I would like to make a photo album of several of our favorites. Since I am no good at photography, I thought I would try your website – the photos are great!! Please let me know one way or another – I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

We have most of our higher quality (of quality to make prints from) available in our Access Vegas Webshots Gallery. (We’ll soon have our own gallery enabled for full size photos).

Go to the Album (in the link above) which you want and click on the photo you desire. When that photo page comes up, look for the little magnifying glass with the plus-sign under the photo.

Click the plus-sign icon to get the full size version of the photo.

Once the big, original size photo comes up in your browser, right-click on the photo and use the “Save Photo As” option in the menu box that appears. Save as many photos as you wish to your computer. From there, you can print out prints on your home printer.

OR, you may take and burn them to disk or thumb (USB) drive and take them to your local major drug store chain. They can take and create prints for about 40 cents each. Side Note: Most photos do have our site name on them. We only offer unbranded photos for commercial use at commercial terms.

Also, Webshots provides code which allows anyone to put our photos on their website, MySpace, or blog. Either as individual photos or as a photo slideshow. See our Access Vegas Myspace page for examples of what the slideshows look like.

Just have a question, I know last year they were putting a Smoking Ban in to effect in 2008. Did the Ban pass? I’m a smoker and just wanted to know if there is smoking allowed inside the Casino’s because I will be returning to Vegas in May. Is there still smoking in your Hotel rooms?

We covered this extensively at the time, but we always have so many great new readers so let’s do a recap:

The smoking ban was passed by the voting public. Smoking is allowed in casino gaming areas and stand-alone bars which don’t serve food. Smoking is no longer allowed in restaurants (including bar and grills).

The fine for smoking in an improper place is $100. No one has been fined yet as no one really cares about enforcing this in a libertarian-leaning state such as Nevada.

Bottom line: In a non-casino bar, simply ask the bartender and those around you if smoking is going to be an issue. If other patrons object, abstain. If they don’t, the bartender will probably put out an ashtray (or ashtray substitute).

The fireworks are set, the concerts ready to roll, and the nightclubs all trying to top each other. The theme is “The Best Is Yet To Come” and the fireworks show will reach from the MGM Grand to The Stratosphere with an display lasting more than eight minutes! (As always, sustained winds at the top of the hotels could put a damper on the display, but so far it has always gone off).

Bellagio’s Holiday Display is attracting droves of visitors and features some new twists not seen in years past:

We say goodbye and a big Thank You to Celine Dion. Her five year run just wrapped up at Caesars, lasting far longer than originally anticipated. 3 million people saw the 717 shows. Whether you love or loathe her, no one can deny the amazing track record (4000 seats nightly) for a single headliner in the modern Las Vegas era.

What’s more, she adopted Las Vegas as her “hometown” and was very active in the community with charity and other events. She even occasionally was spotted shopping at the Henderson Walmart (closest to her Lake Las Vegas home)! Bette Midler is Celine’s replacement, and everyone will be watching to see how she does. Elton John will also be playing his selected Ceasars dates. Here are related links:

Hannah Montana Hits Las Vegas – With Las Vegas now having more than two million residents, Miley “Hanna Montana” Cyrus’ two tour dates here sold out in a matter of minutes. A third date was added, and sold out immediately. If your kids are old enough to visit and young enough to enjoy Hanna Montana (and you understand that sold-out concert resale tickets are going to be a bit expensive), you can check out Hanna Montana Las Vegas Concert Tickets

Vegas On TV – The Las Vegas Bowl (Tickets) airs on ESPN at 5:00 PM Pacific Time on December 22, 2007 with BYU looking for revenge over a struggling UCLA team. Again this year, NBC’s Holiday On Ice airs on Christmas Day (check local NBC listings). The event was taped a couple of weeks ago at The Orleans.

Goodbye Sweet Louie – Checkmates singer Marvin “Sweet Louie” Smith passed away last week while performing aboard a cruise ship in the Caribbean. If you have visited Las Vegas for more than a few times, you probably saw The Checkmates performing somewhere. It would be easier to list the places they didn’t play over the decades!

The past few years they alternated between The Sahara, Casino Montelago (Lake Las Vegas) and Arizona Charlies East. Sweet Louie was fond of saying that every night was a Saturday night when they were performing, and I saw them light up more than one casino lounge over the years. UFC Fight Night Live From The Pearl At The Palms Casino Resort – The UFC and Spike TV will return to The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on Wednesday, January 23 for the first UFC Fight Night of 2008,(Tickets) featuring a welterweight battle between Mike Swick and Josh Burkman. “Mike Swick and Josh Burkman, two tough veterans of The Ultimate Fighter will be facing each other for the first UFC Fight Night of 2008,” said Dana White, UFC President. “Swick is dropping down to 170 pounds for this fight. Lance Burton & Friends Entertain At Zelzah Shrine Temple Christmas Party For Kids – Lance Burton (Tickets) finished up “The Vanishing Birdcage” at the Zelzah Shrine Temple for over 300 children on Sunday, Dec. 9. The Shriners invited the children’s families for a Sunday brunch and their annual show. This tradition began with Bing Crosby and Bob Hope in the early 1950s. Special Guest Star Michael Goudeau entertained at the show for The Shriners’ clients. The comedy-juggler Goudau has performed with Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo since it opened in 1996. Gabriella Versace sang a couple of Christmas songs and comedian Magician Fielding West also performed his act at the event.

Hello From Las Vegas! The Frontier went boom with one of the better implosion shows in recent memory. Things have come a long way from the attempt to make a big show out of the Hacienda Implosion (Broadband Video Link).

We had various invitations (both official and unofficial) to cover it. However, we couldn’t hold a candle to what some of the local TV stations did (including 12 camera coverage in HD by KLAS Channel 8). Here are some great links to stories, photos, and video of the implosion:

A quick follow up on my speculation last week of a future implosion at The Tropicana: I have a good source that The Tropicana is getting very serious about imploding their rear tower. This after months and months of The Tropicana publicly noting that their expansion would be built around (and incorporating) the existing towers.

This makes an immense amount of sense when you look at The Tropicana’s lack of interest in cutting a new contract with their workers union. Also, this would accomplish two other goals: 1. Give them much greater options about the design and layout of the new expansion and 2. Let them keep the casino and one tower open so they can continue to service guests and bring in revenue.

Monty Python’s Spamalot has a very cool V.I.P.P. (Very Important Person) Package that is pretty much unique to the Las Vegas show scene. For $159 per person plus tax, you get the following:

A 45-minute “Secrets of the Grail” backstage tour right after the show
A commemorative Grail cup (filled with your beer or soft-drink)

Thanks for the great photo! Despite the Flamingo Wildlife habitat being so huge, beautiful, and free to the public… it is still continues to be a “best kept secret” in Las Vegas. Finding it is easy:

Head toward the back of the Flamingo Hotel and out the back doors. Let them blow up The Frontier, but I hope that Flamingo doesn’t do away with this incredible area anytime soon.

I am traveling to Vegas with a group of friends, both male and female. A few of them have never been to Vegas before.I would like to maybe get them to go dancing however the lot of them are not “club chic”. We are staying at South Point Casino/Hotel. Is there a club where us 40 somethings could go and not feel too out of place. Money is an object so paying for bottle service and such is out of the question. Help!

South Point actually has a fun atmosphere with various live bands coming through. One of our staffers is 40 and enjoys it on a regular basis. The first thing to do when you check in is ask what/who is playing there. Once in a while it will be a bigger act with a regular ticket price, but usually it is free or a small cover charge.

Mix at Mandalay (The Hotel) is usually free until 8 PM, and with the sun setting at 7 PM, a good place to kick things off. Also, South Point shuttle runs to Mandalay so your trip is free. Voodoo at Rio similar… go early and the cover will be free or cheap plus you get to watch the sunset and The Strip light up. Plus, a wide range of ages. Very important: Times and prices are subject to change. Ask the desk at South Point details on their club, and call ahead on other stuff so no surprises.

South Point is really nice for the money. Only downside is the shuttle ride to The Strip, but you might find yourself having quite a bit of fun right there on property. Also, the intersection it is located on has a mini-mall with really good (no frills) BBQ place, and the wine/liquor store in that mini-mall has free wine tasting on Thursday evenings plus a nice cigar selection for those inclined.

Hello From Las Vegas! Never a dull moment around here. The Venetian’s new Palazzo Tower is topped out and looks finished as a building. They are working around the clock on interior and ground level exterior in preparation for a late December opening.

The resort in part gives this description of what is coming:

The Palazzo Casino Resort will include over 375 concierge-level suites and will also include six villas (up to 11,000 square feet each) which will have 3-4 bedrooms, 3.5-4.5 baths, extensive living areas, media rooms, private pools, private jacuzzis, private salons, massage areas, heated spas, personal gyms and, in some cases, private putting greens.

The presidential suites and the villas will also offer private butler services. The Palazzo hotel will have 296 multi-room suites, including six presidential suites. The Palazzo hotel will also have an elaborate pool deck (with seven pools, gardens, sculptures, cabanas and fountains) and an adjacent spa facility.

Las Vegas Taxi Fares On The Rise – I guess long-hauling you and trying to divert you to places you otherwise didn’t ask to go (so they can get a fat kick-back) just isn’t enough. This according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

Beginning Oct. 1, passengers will be charged $3.30 for the initial cost of hiring a cab, or drop fee, a dime increase from the current rate. The cost per hour for the time spent traveling slower than 8-12 mph, known as the wait-time charge, will rise to $28 from $22. Even before the increases approved last month, those fees were higher than similar charges in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Chicago.

Drivers complain they don’t make as much money in Las Vegas as they would elsewhere because of the close proximity of the city’s prime destinations. McCarran International Airport is a four-mile trip to the Strip, and most of the hotels are located within a short drive, Jones noted.

The last paragraph would hold more water if the local cabbies weren’t famous for long-hauling customers on a regular basis (which I discuss and condemn every few months in this column). Hi Ted,I really enjoy the newsletter and the infrequent podcasts. The podcasts are the way I first became aware of your great insights. I hope you can keep it up.

How about giving us some advice as to where we might find some nice, quiet, cocktail lounges where we could hear some smooth jazz, a la piano bar or small combo, singer, etc. You get the idea. I’ve been coming to Vegas ever since my parents took us kids to stay at the Dunes, Riviera and Tropicana. I’m now 66 years old and I still like to visit every few months or so. But, except for the Baccarat Lounge at Bellagio, I haven’t been able to find many others. Can you help?

Podcasts will be back in a few weeks (finally), and on a regular basis. We’ve been stretched very thin with a pending upgrade (expanding into other cities, more to come on that down the road) and training new hires. The podcast is probably the most fun, but unfortunately most expendable of the things I do.

Besides the lounge you mentioned at Bellagio, Harrah’s Range Steakhouse usually does nightly. You don’t have to eat there. They have an intimate little lounge that overlooks The Strip (indoors), nice place to relax. Many events (including in tourism areas) come and go. Certain local jazz and smooth jazz artists will play a few lounge dates here and there. These events are usually noted at http://www.smoothjazz1057.com/calendar/

Hello From Las Vegas! We stopped by The Frontier (New Frontier, whatever) on Monday just for a final walk-through before they close it later this week. The Frontier never had that special distinction that The Sands or The Stardust had, but certainly a landmark none-the-less.

Many times, we are asked about something discussed or linked to in a recent newsletter. We put significant hard work into gathering all of the information we send you. Please at least do us the courtesy of looking over the last few issues in our archives before sending in a question. You might be amazed that we already covered the topic (and many others you were interested in).
Almost every week, people ask “When will (insert name of concert or show) tickets be on sale.” We publish as often as we do to get you the most fresh info possible. If we have tickets available, you know right away!Sidebar: A rumor of a pending performer (including but not limited to the perpetual rumor that Michael Jackson is going to have a show here) does NOT mean a show is pending or that tickets are available. Once again… if you are a regular reader, you find out about new shows and tickets as soon as we know!

Las Vegas Still Cigar Friendly – Although the (often flouted) smoking ban has attempted to impact both cigar and cigarette smoking, cigar aficionados and those who just indulge on special occasions still have places to enjoy the “long ashes” of a good cigar. The L.A. Times recent article Las Vegas cigar lounges roll out the welcome mat is a nice primer.

Legally, you can enjoy them outdoors, on the casino floor (including bars on a casino floor) and in nightclubs/lounges that do not serve food. As always, be polite and ask the bartender if cigar smoking is acceptable or simply patronize the places mentioned in the article. Also, a tip of the hat to the nationally syndicated, fine living oriented Cigar Dave Show who has our own gaming expert Victor H. Royer as a guest every year. (Click for audio archives of Victor H. We haven’t talked about Maverick Helicopter Tours much lately, so now is a great time to remind everyone that I consider it a “must do” on a Las Vegas vacation. I’ve done almost everything there is to see and do in town, and nothing compares to flying over the Las Vegas Strip in a Maverick Helicopter.

Those who take a Grand Canyon Tour get to fly over The Strip on their return from the Canyon. Maverick also offers stand-alone night flights over The Strip are are nothing short of amazing. (Note to self: I haven’t been up over The Strip in a Maverick chopper lately… arrange to do so).

Maverick isn’t a discount company. They are professional, top-notch, newest and most comfortable equipment, and no accidents or incidents. Dear Ted:We recently returned home from our umpteenth visit to beautiful Las Vegas over the last ten years, and I would like to make a comment about the so-called Californication of Las Vegas.One of the best things about your town, and Nevada in general, is its permissive, tolerant attitude. Now, we noticed, since the last time we were in Las Vegas in December, that suddenly there is no smoking in restaurants and also rest rooms, in most of the casino properties. This is simply stupid. There was never a big problem of people smoking in restaurants anyway, and smoking in rest rooms may have made it harder to keep the rest rooms clean, but now the people who maintain rest rooms just get smaller tips. Is this good for your economy?

For your info – I am a 53 year old pipe/cigar smoker who would never think of lighting up in a restaurant, since I wouldn’t want to offend anybody, because I am a polite person.

What we all need is a return to common courtesy, not legislating the Wild West out of Las Vegas. If they ever ban smoking in the casinos, we wouldn’t want to come visit anymore. Gamblers smoke – LIVE WITH IT!

Hello From Las Vegas! We took last week off (scheduled off-week) and are you kidding? The heat is here, May 5 was one of the biggest weekends in a long time with the big fight, Kentucky Derby, and Cinco De Mayo… all on the same day!

Exclusive Planet Hollywood Casino Photos – Everyone has been talking about the unique, amazing interior of the new Planet Hollywood gaming floor. If you remember the old Aladdin, you won’t recognize the place. I pride myself on knowing just about every hotel in town like the back of my hand, but I got “lost” in the new design! Casino Security – By now, many of you have heard about the parking lot murder at The Luxor which was accomplished with a small bomb. This is a local issue, not terrorist related and just happened to take place at a hotel instead of (for example) a local shopping mall. However, it does prompt us to remind you that casino security is there to serve you, even if you aren’t staying at that particular property:

Never hesitate to contact security if you notice anything remotely suspicious, ranging from a person or group of people to a package, purse or suitcase left unattended. They want to know, and can address the situation.
If someone or a group of people are bothering you, creating problems, or simply unruly, do report them to security. Even if the people in question move on or bolt, they can be watched on cameras both inside and outside the casino. Security will appreciate keeping an eye on them.
Casino security will walk you out to your car if desired. You may have just hit a nice jackpot and have some cash on you, or used the parking garage and for some reason are concerned because of the hour or seeing suspicion activity.

Bottom Line: Casino properties are amazingly safe and secure. Live humans monitor (and record) virtually every square foot of the hotel’s public areas, inside and out. I’ve never had a worry or concern in 15 years of living here and covering Las Vegas. However, don’t hesitate to contact security if needed. They are there to help!

More “Screw The NBA” – Amazing how we just had a weekend (May 4-6) of convergence of cultures, interests, people of all backgrounds and races… (HUGE boxing match, Cinco De Mayo and Kentucky Derby) and no violence to note. After the NBA All-Star fiasco, the “we don’t want an NBA team” chant has reached a crescendo.

MGM Mirage Chief Executive Officer Terry Lanni recently noted that tourists stayed in their hotel rooms instead of playing slots and blackjack during the Feb. 17 and 18 (All Star) weekend, when two separate shootings left three people in critical condition (according to the Bloomberg story MGM’s Lanni Says NBA All-Star Weekend Was Bad for Las Vegas).

Someone tell Mayor Goodman (who is otherwise among the top ambassadors Las Vegas has ever had) to trash can the “bring an NBA team” here idea. We are already on the map, and don’t need a pro sports team to make us an “important” city.

Bette Midler is replacing Celine Dion at Caesars and tickets are now available. More on this as it develops.

Bellagio Mist (created by Bellagio Mixologist Drew Levinson)

2 oz. Monchhof Riesling
1/2 oz. Amaretto Disarrono
2 oz. fresh sour
1/2 oz. orgeat syrup
In a shaker, combine all ingredients. Shake and strain into ice-filled cup. Top with soda, stir, garnish with Star Fruit and enjoy!

Orange Colada (created by TI Mixologist Kay Kolbo)

2 oz. Cruzan Orange Rum
2 oz. Pina Colada mix
2 oz. orange juice
2 oz. pineapple juice
Combine all ingredients with ice and blend until smooth. Serve in a Hurricane glass, garnished with orange wheel.

Lavender Cucumber Mojito (created by Fleur de Lys’ Rebecca Anhert)

1/8 fresh European cucumber
1/2 lime
15 mint leaves
1 oz. Bacardi Light Rum
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. Trader Vic’s Rock Candy Syrup
Combine all ingredients, shake and strain over ice into tall glass before topping with club soda.

Lounge acts are often changing, both the location and time and place they play. Here are the pretty consistent ones that put on a great show, and at least one of them should suit almost any particular groups interest (click their links to find out more about them and when/where they are playing):

Sunset Strip at the Las Vegas Hilton. They are electric, amazing, look great (both the women and men) and regularly garner good feedback from our readers.
Cook E. Jarr at Carnival Court at Harrah’s. Cook E. is a Las Vegas legend, good friend of Tom Jones, and can belt out an “old school” song followed by the latest radio hit all with his unique style that millions love.
Twin Keys dueling piano show, also at Harrah’s in their own lounge inside. I’ve seen numerous dueling piano shows in various tourist areas (plus the many that play here), and these are tops. If one doesn’t have a good time at their show, one is not capable of having a good time anywhere.
David Van Such is our local king of smooth (light) jazz and his band is the perfect music for chilling with a cocktail while keeping you entertained with the perfect Las Vegas feel.

Hello From Las Vegas! With the exception of a day of drizzle last week, the weather has been incredible. Highs in the 80’s, warm evenings, and construction along the strip booming.

Weekend construction on the freeway linking Las Vegas to Southern California may be keeping tens of thousands away over the next few weekends. The bulk of the construction is scheduled over the weekends.

We have visited Vegas 8 times now and still never get enough of it. Love the place, and love getting the insider news too. I heard that the Excalibur is being demolished. If so, why. It’s such a beautiful hotel/casino. I feel very sad that the Stardust is being demolished. Stayed there twice and found it very pleasant.

I read your article about taking cabs from the airport to the hotel via the tunnel. Unfortunately I was one of those people who had experienced that and I couldn’t believe the fare they had charged. But after reading your inside report about that I’ll know better when I visit Vegas again in June.Thanks for the tip.

Glad that we are helping you have great visits to Las Vegas. That is our goal!

Per the Excalibur, I keep hearing this floating around, and I’m either really missing the boat, or this is one of the most insane rumors I’ve heard in a long time. If nothing else, it seems official that Dick’s Last Resort (a popular tourist area bar and grill where the staff insults you and being messy is encouraged) will be finding a home at Excalibur in 2007, and they aren’t going to build a huge new restaurant attraction right before they demolish the place.

Long term prospects for Excalibur? Owners MGM Mirage Corp. will probably kick back and until they see what The Tropicana’s new owners are going to do. MGM Mirage is busy enough with their Project CityCenter and the new tower going up (soon) between Mandalay Bay and Luxor.

I’m just not seeing it, but if I have completely missed some pretty firm news of Excalibur implosion, drop me a line at allvegastv@aol.com. If nothing else, this rumor is so strong, I’d like to see where it is coming from!

Hello From Las Vegas! A couple of regular features are missing this week due to staff vacations, weddings (congrats to our writer Nancy Hruska who just tied the knot) and similar, but this is still jammed with stuff you need to know. The weather is in the 90’s and is scheduled to hit 100 degrees during much of this coming week with lows in the 70’s (F). The next time we’ll feel anything remotely resembling cool weather here in Las Vegas (anything under 70 degrees at any time of the day or night) won’t be until sometime in September. Pack your swimsuit and your shorts and leave the coats and even windbreakers at home.

Hello From Las Vegas! Super Bowl weekend was huge, with about 285,000 people in town, and it seems like everybody had a bet on the game. I have little interest in either team and simply bet for fun. In Nevada, we call it a “TV bet” when you bet on a game just to have some rooting interest. I lost my bet (Seattle to win +165 … that means I picked Seattle to win and would have been paid $165 for every $100 I bet … getting a bonus for taking the underdog) but had fun watching the game.

Watched the Whole Show, and I Liked It!

Carrot Top las vegas hotels hilton How long has Carrot Top been around and how famous is he? I don’t have a clue about the answer to those questions, and his web site certainly didn’t help me find out information. Carrot Top may be a publicity hound, but what does that have to do with his show? Nothing I guess. I enjoyed watching this show and I was surprised.

Carrot Top does annoying commercials, kind of looks like the Wendy’s girl as he brings up in his show, but he is a unique type of comic. He is what I call a prop comic. I have seen this before in Las Vegas with a comic by the name of Joe Trammel. But Carrot Top is much more accomplished and has about four trunks of props he goes through during a show, maybe more. Volcano Time Change At The Mirage – The Mirage volcano now erupts at the top of each hour from 6 p.m. to midnight. Each night the explosive show transforms a dramatic waterfall in front of The Mirage into a spectacular, flame-throwing volcano with molten streams of lava. More than 3,000 computerized lights create this nightly optical illusion. The nightly show is free to the public.
