Jason Tenner has taken his “Purple Reign” Prince tribute show to so many venues around Las Vegas over the years, it’s hard to keep track. But the show has never been to the Tropicana, until tonight. After a successful three-year run at the Westgate – including the last year and a half in the historic International Theater – “Purple Reign” begins its new residency this week in another classic Vegas room, the Tropicana Theater that was once known as the Tiffany Theater and home for almost 50 years to “Les Folies Bergere.”

Just under a year ago, I was in Las Vegas to support some of my friends who were running in the Las Vegas Rock and Roll Marathon. This is a trip that my friends and I often make, and I have previewed and followed up on races in the past. The WNBA and NBA Board of Governors have unanimously approved the relocation of the San Antonio Stars to Las Vegas, WNBA President Lisa Borders announced today. MGM Resorts International will own and operate the team, which will begin play in Las Vegas in the 2018 season. The team’s home arena will be the Mandalay Bay Events Center, one of the city’s premier entertainment venues, having hosted major concert and sports events since opening in 1999.

With Over 16,000 Sq ft. of retail space, it is going to be the largest recreational cannabis retail store of its kind in Las Vegas. I suspect the volume of people coming to the store will keep supplies low. Because of this, I would wager that grow operations will expand to keep up with the demand. This still is a new industry here in Las Vegas and there will be some growing pains in order to meet the demand of the product. Keep in mind this is just my opinion as the business of cannabis grows in the Las Vegas area.
