Hello from Las Vegas! We’re continuing to reformat this newsletter to jam in as much Las Vegas information as possible. We are dropping our weekly feature story, because there is just too much to highlight each week and Las Vegas has something for everyone!

Wynn Las Vegas – is hiring for their for their April opening, and they are flooded with applicants. Inside word is that Wynn will be hand-picking the Mirage/Bellagio/Treasure Island employees he wants to bring on board (that used to work for him), and these employees are eager for the call. Casino Legends Hall of Fame – Six Las Vegas legends were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the city of Las Vegas during the Casino Legends Hall of Fame induction ceremony on October 31, 2004 in the Tiffany Theatre at the Tropicana Resort & Casino.

Debbie Reynolds, Ben Vereen, Sheena Easton, Jack Jones, Patti Page, and Tempest Storm were each individually recognized for the impact they have made on the city of entertainment in front of a packed house. Former inductee and current headliner, Clint Holmes, kept the ceremony rolling as the emcee of the momentous occasion.

The Casino Legends Hall of Fame houses the largest and most unique collection of Nevada gaming and entertainment memorabilia ever assembled. The museum is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. General admission is $6.95 for adults and $5.95 for seniors. Read our review.

Note to gaming properties: Visiting Las Vegas is a major event for many, and something that they plan months in advance. You guys should be embarrassed at the last minute chaos that is the norm. Plan ahead so your PR people can let us and other media know, and we can better keep your visitors informed!

Message Boards – Vegas Comments, Reader Feedback: My 1st time Vegas Tips for you … My husband and I stayed at THEhotel this past June. What an experience!!!! Recently stayed at TI. just wanted to give a little input on our stay … Following a July 10 day visit to LV I was dismayed at several casinos infesting themselves with voucher slots. I like the sound of coins coming out rather that a soulesss piece of paper … Credit card hold for incidentals: Does any one know what the policy is for this? Any recommendations on a helicopter tour while in Vegas? Has Anyone Stayed at RIO? Bradley Ogden: The food was absolutely fantastic … What the hell is up with Celine Dion?? Two of our classes are involved in a social studies project that involves a stuffed animal traveling around the world … It’s sad that with so much available space on the Strip just being wasted, that they have to tear-down Wet N Wild near the Sahara just to build another resort … Stayed at the Mirage and Bellagio each once and I still like the Flamingo. We’ve had a strip view and basically when checking in, just asked if we could have a view of the strip … Although I go to LV 3 times a year, I’ve never been during the winter months … My wife and I are visiting Las Vegas the last week in April as part of our 25th wedding anniversary. I have no idea where to stay … We’re heading up to Vegas the weekend prior to Thanksgiving … How Is Gladys Knight?
