Newkirk’s Notes – comments on Las Vegas from AccessVegas.Com publisher Ted Newkirk:Hello from Las Vegas! We had a little unexpected hiatus from publishing. I tried to play “Mr. Fix It” with my computer and wiped out about two weeks of email, which included concerts and New Year’s updates and business email … you name it. (No … they don’t allow me near the big, main computers that run this show and I don’t blame them).
With New Year’s Eve bearing down on us, we’ll be publishing twice weekly through the end of the year to keep you up-to-date. Significant events have been added to our Las Vegas New Year’s Eve section. Oh, did I mention it’s been 70 (F)á for the past two weeks?

NASCAR Champion #97: Las Vegas’ Kurt Busch – We congratulate our favorite driver, Las Vegas native Kurt Busch on taking the NASCAR Nextel Cup 2004 Championship. He’s also one of the most hated drivers on NASCAR. So to all you Junior or Gordon or Stewart or other driver fans: Drink your Bud, stop by the Home Depot, buy some Dupont paint, then come cheer your guy and boo the #97 car in his hometown during 2005 Cup stop here in Las Vegas on March 13, 2005.
