Curious about a show, restaurant, or other Las Vegas attraction that looks fun? Let us review it for you first! Suggestions are always welcome at: allvegastv@aol.com

Rental Cars – Don’t pay top dollar! Enter the dates of your visit and compare prices from virtually every major rental car agency (most US cities). Book the lowest price company or your regular agency. Save the hassle and some money – Car Rental Savings Search. Few regret renting a car. Free shuttles and city bus rides can be slow and smelly. Taxis can cost what a rental car costs. Your vacation time is valuable — make the most out of it!

FEATURE STORY: Free Las Vegas Stuff

Free – is always a good price and sidewalk attractions such as the Mirage’s exploding volcano, the Excalibur’s animatronic battle pitting Merlin the Magician against a dragon, and Treasure Island’s live action pirate battle draw thousands of tourists daily. Read about these and other free things to do and see in Las Vegas at http://www.spokesmanreview.com/news-story.asp?date=121000&ID=s889424

Bottoms Up – This afternoon show at the Flamingo Hilton lists at $12.95 but coupons for free admission for two are found in just about every tourist magazine in town. They only ask that you buy the one drink minimum ($5.95 – take the show coupon to the ticket office, where you pay for the drink in advance). These are the free magazines that you may find in your hotel room, near the front desk, etc. If you can’t find any, just ask the front desk where free tourist magazines are. Bottoms Up claims to be in it’s 40’th year (probably in some incarnation) and that is about how old the jokes and gags are. It is the only afternoon topless revue in town, and a bit on the raunchy side, but the price is right.

Blackjack Insider Newsletter – You can get a FREE copy of the new Blackjack Insider newsletter emailed to
you every two weeks by signing up at http://www.casino.com/newsletter The
newsletter is edited by Henry Tamburin and it contains helpful information
for blackjack players including playing strategy tips, updated playing
conditions, analysis of side bets, tournament schedules, trip reports by the
pros, casino spotlight, book reviews, Q&A, exclusive interviews with
blackjack experts, and lots more.

Cheap Stuff – Longtime Las Vegas aficionados Matt Weatherford and Mark Sinclair search out all that is cheap in Las Vegas ($1 blackjack, rooms for under $50, $2.95 chicken dinners) and were recently profiled at http://www.spokesmanreview.com/news-story.asp?date=121000&ID=s891159 Their Big Empire website features extensive info on what if free and cheap in Las Vegas at http://www.bigempire.com/vegas/

Thanks for the kind words and glad to hear you had fun, especially since you fly halfway around the world to visit Las Vegas!

Long time readers like yourself know that one of the big reasons I started this newsletter is because every time I am on the Strip or Fremont Street I overhear tourists wondering if they should go here or there, or saying that they heard a [show / tour / restaurant] was good (probably due to some advertisement) when in reality it is a waste of time. Your vacation time here is valuable, and we enjoy helping you make the most of it!

Your input is welcome. Write us a “letter to the editor” at allvegastv@aol.com While space doesn’t permit publishing every letter, we do certainly read them all and they help shape our content. Please include your name if you wish to have it published (stating your city is optional). Also, guest article submissions are welcome with full credit to you, your website, etc., if accepted.
